New Year’s Destinations for You and Your Bowlus®
The New Year brings new possibilities! Start the year off right with a Bowlus adventure. Today we’re sharing two versatile destinations where our owners can ring in the New Year with festivities and fireworks or solitude and intention-setting.
Jackson Hole Campground in Wyoming offers splendid winter RV camping. Electric hookups mean you can have those heated floors waiting and you can enjoy an endless hot water shower after a day out in the snow. Nestled between the Teton Mountains and the Gros Ventre Range, the Jackson Hole valley goes all out for New Year’s Eve. There’s no shortage of activities to enjoy, including skiing, so drop your travel trailer and take off in your tow vehicle just a few minutes down the road. Après-ski, you can participate in torchlight parades at any of the three ski resorts in the area (Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Snow King Mountain or Grand Targhee). In addition to the torchlight parade, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers the Glow Worm Parade for kids, substituting fire for glow sticks. The parade is followed by fireworks and an epic after party, the Gondi-Gala. Live music and a champagne toast are included. Dance your feet off or retreat to your toasty Bowlus for some end-of-year reflection.
If you’re looking for something a little more laidback, the dog-friendly Bierbaum Pepper Farm experience might be more your speed. Located fifteen minutes away from Temecula, CA, it’s so quiet that you can hear the hum of hot air balloons overhead and the whisper of bird wings. Hookups are available, and the site faces to the west so you can watch as the sunset melts over wine country. Baby goats and chicks are available to play with, so it’s the perfect place to relax, de-stress and set the tone for the year ahead.
If you change your mind and want to go out to celebrate (or celebrate and then come back to enjoy solitude and privacy), you picked the right place: it’s a short drive from the city, which is bursting with festivities. The farm owners also run a doggy daycare, so if you do go for a night out on the town, your furry friend will be in good hands.
