Bowlus x 2026 Lucid Gravity: 250-Miles of Towing Range!

In our latest video, CEO Geneva Long puts the 2026 Lucid Gravity Grand Touring to the ultimate test to see if it truly matches the bespoke craftsmanship and aerodynamic efficiency of a Bowlus.

The results confirm that the future of electric towing has arrived. In our testing, the Gravity delivered an impressive 250-mile towing range thanks to the reduced drag of the Bowlus’ iconic monocoque shape. This is the longest towing range of any EV + full-size travel trailer ever tested. Watch the full review below to see how this sophisticated pairing redefines zero-emission travel.

FAQs

The Lucid Gravity is a meticulously engineered luxury EV that delivers an exceptionally serene towing experience. In our testing, it achieved 2.1 miles per kilowatt hour, offering an estimated 250 miles of range per charge when pulling an Endless Highways. The suspension is well-controlled and the steering response is precise, making long-distance travel feel effortless and composed.

Unlike most EVs that operate on a 400V architecture, the Gravity uses a next-generation 926V system with an integrated voltage booster. This allows it to charge faster and more consistently across various infrastructures, including Tesla V4 Superchargers. For Bowlus owners, this means significantly reduced downtime at charging stations and lower real-world ownership costs compared to premium gas SUVs.

Yes. The Lucid Gravity is rated to tow 6,000 lbs with a maximum hitch weight of 600 lbs. Since a Bowlus has a GVWR of under 4,400 lbs and a modest 300 lb hitch weight, it is well within the Gravity’s comfort zone. The vehicle feels confident and predictable under load, with smooth torque delivery and no drama during acceleration or while climbing steep grades.

The Gravity features excellent technology integration, including a trailer brake controller built directly into the software, allowing the driver to manage trailer brakes easily from the screen. It also includes a “check all trailer lights” feature and navigation that intelligently prioritizes range, charger availability, and elevation changes—all critical factors for a successful towing journey.

The pairing of a Lucid, one of the most aerodynamic EVs in the world, with a Bowlus, the most aerodynamic travel trailer, creates a highly efficient towing package. Traditional, box-shaped RVs act as “blunt” trailers that dramatically reduce EV range. The aircraft-inspired monocoque design of the Bowlus reduces drag, making long-distance electric RV travel truly viable.

The interior philosophy of the Lucid Gravity mirrors that of a Bowlus: it is clean, modern, and crafted with material integrity. The cabin remains remarkably quiet even under load, extending the peaceful, luxurious environment of the Bowlus into the tow vehicle. This creates a cohesive travel experience defined by engineering-forward luxury and a sense of calm.

The Lucid Gravity is highly flexible and can utilize nearly all charging stations, including the Tesla NACS network. Lucid provides the necessary adapters, making it incredibly convenient for Bowlus owners to find reliable power regardless of where their off-grid adventures take them.

Hi, my name is Geneva Long and I’m the CEO of Bowlus. Today we’re continuing our tow vehicle testing series with one of the most anticipated electric SUVs on the market. This is the Bowlus Endless Highways and this is the 2026 Lucid Gravity Grand Touring. We ordered the Lucid the moment reservations opened because Lucid has always promised a strong EV towing range in a very luxurious package. When the Gravity was announced with a large battery pack and thoughtful packaging, we knew we had to test it with a Bowlus. In our initial 40 mile tow testing loop, the Gravity delivered 2.1 miles per kilowatt hour, which is slightly better than our 2020 Tesla Model X long range when pulling the same Bowlus. Because the Lucid has a much larger battery, we estimate about 250 miles per charge while towing, which is excellent performance for a full-size electric SUV.

The Gravity sits on one end of the spectrum: a meticulously engineered luxury EV designed to deliver refinement, speed, efficiency, and capability in equal measure. Like the Bowlus, it’s not trying to imitate anything else; it simply aims to be the best expression of the category. Lucid built the Gravity to redefine what a family-sized seven-seater electric SUV can be, and when you pair it with a Bowlus, the result is one of the most sophisticated, efficient combinations available. What stands out immediately is the refinement. The cabin is quiet even under load, and the suspension is well controlled with precise steering. It feels like both products were designed with the same philosophy of engineering-forward luxury.

Charging is where the Gravity sets a new benchmark. While most EVs operate on a 400V architecture, the Gravity uses a 926V system with an integrated voltage booster. This means it charges faster and more consistently than the Model X, even on Tesla’s own infrastructure. Based on average Supercharger pricing, a full 123 kWh battery costs roughly $31 to $62, making the Gravity significantly less expensive to tow with than many premium gas SUVs. Rated to tow 6,000 lbs with a maximum hitch weight of 600 lb, the Gravity is well within its comfort zone pulling a Bowlus. The low center of gravity and immediate torque delivery provide a smooth, confident, and drama-free towing experience.

Lucid’s interior design philosophy mirrors our own, focusing on clean lines and material integrity. The displays are intuitive, offering navigation that prioritizes range and elevation changes. It also features a built-in trailer brake controller and a convenient light-check system directly from the screen. This sense of calm and modern utility continues the premium experience our owners expect. Furthermore, Lucid’s focus on aerodynamics perfectly complements the Bowlus. While standard, blunt RV trailers dramatically reduce EV range, the aircraft-inspired design of a Bowlus enables the Gravity to tow much farther. With access to nearly all charging stations, including the Tesla NACS network, this combination truly makes long-distance electric RV travel viable.

While the software is still evolving and the price can climb quickly with options, neither of these factors affects the impressive towing performance. Overall, the Lucid Gravity is a wonderfully good match for the Bowlus. It offers the refinement, efficiency, and fast-charging capabilities that push electric towing into a new era. If you value quiet luxury and modern engineering, the Gravity is one of the most compelling tow vehicles available today. With a Bowlus behind it, you get the most aerodynamic and beautifully crafted travel trailer, ensuring you can tow farther and more comfortably than with any other RV. Thank you for joining us, and stay tuned for more towing tests.
