The Luxury RV Trailers You Need For Glamping

The Luxury RV Trailers You Need For Glamping

Why should you try glamping? Here at Bowlus, we believe that everyone deserves to experience the finer things in life. However, that doesn’t always have to mean staying at five-star hotels in big cities. If you want to get out and enjoy nature without having to leave all of the amenities that make life so comfortable, a luxury RV trailer is just what you’re looking for.

Why A Luxury RV Trailer Is Right For You

Sometimes, people who prefer to head out into the middle of nowhere, set up a tent, forgo showering, and cook their meals by campfire tend to consider anything with more amenities not to be “real” camping. But that simply isn’t the case.

Camping is really all about a desire to head out into nature and reconnect, both with yourself and with the world. How you choose to do that is up to you, but there is no “right” or “wrong” way to camp. What’s important is that you’re getting out there and enjoying nature.

With a luxury RV trailer, you’re essentially camping with all the comforts of home. This looks different for everyone who does it, as some people prioritize air conditioning over a fully stocked kitchen, etc. Luckily, with a Bowlus travel trailer, you get both.

What Is A Luxury RV Trailer?

Luxury travel trailers are the top tier of non-motorized recreational vehicles (RVs). These trailers, or campers, are pulled behind a separate vehicle and come in all different sizes, from the tiny pop-up trailers to the larger fifth wheels. That’s where they differ from Class A motorhomes and beyond. Most travel trailers have at least a small kitchen and sleeping space, while some also have a toilet and shower and floor plans vary. A Bowlus travel trailer provides all that and more.

Luxury RV trailers like our Endless Highways edition take that basic idea and run with it. They provide all of the amenities that usually come with a travel trailer or 5th wheel but make them as high-end as possible, and include more amenities on top of that.

Most of the best luxury travel trailers are perfect to use for luxury camping for that reason and are essentially like apartments on wheels where you could live full-time. The vast majority of them run on propane and battery power, and if you’re looking for the best in the market, the lithium batteries in a Bowlus can last you at least a week off-grid without a power hookup.

What To Look For In A Luxury RV Bedroom

So, let’s dig into all of the important factors that make up the perfect luxury RV trailer that you can use for any upcoming trip. We’ll start with the master bedroom.

Camping without the discomfort of having to sleep directly on the ground is one of the major reasons that so many people have turned to using a luxury RV trailer. Being able to sleep in a comfortable, supportive king or queen bed after a long day of hiking, biking, or swimming isn’t out of reach! But what should you look for in a travel trailer bedroom?

We designed our Bowlus Endless Highways Edition to provide both comfort and privacy in the bedroom. Many of the different floorplans of luxury trailers don’t allow you to shut the door to the living room, even while in the bedroom, which is why we prioritized that in our design.

We also have drapes and wood inserts to help block out the light so that you can sleep in if you want to, especially if you have skylights. Unless you’re traveling alone, you’ll likely relish the privacy after a whole day spent with your loved ones in the living area.

The other factor is comfort. With so many different travel trailers out there, you’ll definitely be able to find the most comfortable bed for you. You’re not limited to uncomfortable bed-sofas just to save space. Look for a high-quality mattress, especially one made with memory foam, like you’ll find in your Bowlus, to help support your body when you sleep.

The size of the mattress you’re looking for depends mostly on personal preference, and we offer king-size beds that can also be separated into two twin-sized beds. That’s certain to be much more comfortable than the bunk beds you’ll find in other trailers claiming to be luxe.

Comfort also relates to the room temperature when you sleep, which is different for every individual. That’s why temperature control in the bedroom is essential. We designed our luxury trailer with both a heating and cooling fan to help you find that perfect temperature at night. If you can’t live without an air conditioner, keep this in mind.

What To Look For In A Luxury RV Kitchen

While cooking your meals by campfire or in an outdoor kitchen is a classic part of the camping experience, having the ability to also create your own gourmet meals while you’re out communing with nature is another trailer feature that attracts people to luxury RV trailers.

A major part of that is having a fully stocked kitchen (or “galley”) in your travel trailer. Stovetop burners are an essential component of any functional kitchen, as a cooktop allows you to cook your food more evenly than you can over a campfire, even with the best tools available.

You’ll also want to have plenty of solid surface countertop space for prepping your food, as it can be frustrating to try to cook in a super small space. The Bowlus stainless steel countertops ensure that you have plenty of room for all your cooking needs. Look for ample cabinetry as well, so that you have plenty of storage for food, and the space might be accompanied by a dinette to make life that much easier.

Another part of any luxury kitchen worth having is a large enough refrigerator and freezer to run efficiently off of battery power. Double-door refrigerators tend to be fairly common in living vehicles. Gourmet cooking usually involves using fresh ingredients, so not having to make all of your meals out of a box or a can automatically makes your camping meals that much more delicious.

Consider hitting a local farmer’s market to grab extra produce you may have forgotten, which helps support local businesses as well. You’ll be able to enjoy a great meal with fresh ingredients even on the hottest days of the year, thanks to temperature control.

What To Look For In a Luxury RV Bathroom

The final factor that most people look for in a luxury RV trailer is a high-end bathroom. Many people can give up a gourmet dining experience or a super comfortable sleeping situation but draw the line at not being able to enjoy a hot shower after their day is at an end. Luckily, with a Bowlus, you don’t have to give up any of these comforts. Some showers even include slide-out doors around the shower, or, like the Bowlus, have a shower door and curtain that fully encloses you in the space to maximize privacy and minimize water splashes.

Other than the toilet, the shower is the most make or break amenity in the bathroom. Having a quality showerhead, enough water pressure, and a continuous source of hot water are the three most important components to look for in a travel trailer bathroom.

If you have a quality faucet, but the water is weak and cold, that won’t be a good experience. All three go hand in hand. Good thing your Bowlus travel trailer provides continuous hot water.

In addition, you want your bathroom to be fashionable. We designed ours with teak seating and flooring, large wardrobes to hang all of your extra clothing in, and a full-length mirror so that you can check out your look before heading out for the day. You might not spend a lot of time in your bathroom while you’re on a trip, but you want the time you do spend to be enjoyable and leave feeling refreshed.

Other amenities you may want to look for in your travel trailer include things like solar panels, a reliable washer and dryer, and a power awning if you plan to spend lots of time outside. Some people even up the RV lifestyle even further with surround sound technology, or, better yet, you can bring your own high end portable bluetooth speakers for both high quality sound and the flexibility to use them outside the trailer.

Why Camp, Anyway?

We’ve talked a lot about having the best camping experience possible, but we haven’t touched on what we think is most important in this entire discussion… why you should camp in the first place!

Camping is packed full of benefits for both the mind and the body. Regular camping will lead to you having a much more relaxed, enjoyable, healthy life. Going off-grid is also very beneficial to the relationships you have with the people around you that you love enough to invite camping with you.

For the mind, being outside in nature is a natural de-stressor. The vitamin D you get from the sunlight helps reduce symptoms of depression, and simply being outside boosts the production of serotonin in the body.

Once your mind is more relaxed, your body can also relax. The constant stress that we all go through when being constantly bombarded by technology, bad news, and responsibilities can take a toll on our mental health, and camping helps to reverse some of those negative effects.

A tense mind leads to a whole host of physical health symptoms like high blood pressure, weight gain, muscle tenseness, and headaches. The exercise that you get from hiking, biking, and all of the other outdoor activities that most people commonly do when they’re camping also build both your cardiovascular and muscular strength and health. The best part is, you’ll be working out without it feeling like a trip to the gym, which means that you’re burning calories and still having fun.

In Summary…

We designed our Endless Highways Edition with all of the luxury amenities that are necessary to have the best experience possible.

From a comfortable, private bedroom to a kitchen you could cook a gourmet meal in and a bathroom with continuous hot water for long, steamy showers, investing in a Bowlus travel trailer will take your next camping experience to the next level.
